Job description:

As an engineer in the CRATIS Datacenter team, your task will be to install, configure, and maintain customer and core network infrastructure, for both CRATIS and customer devices physically located in CRATIS data centers. 

A typical project planned and implemented by the CRATIS Datacenter team consists of designing architecture, selecting and procuring the necessary hardware (routers/switches), preparing and configuring it, backing up, and monitoring. We constantly invest time in adopting new technologies that could simplify our work and try to automate as much of our work as possible, to have more time for research, dreaming, (re)designing, and improving our environments and services. The ultimate goal is to provide the highest level of services without downtime and with uncompromising security of customer data. 

The position includes the following responsibilities: 

• Participate in the development of Datacenter environment strategies. 
• Deliver and configure network solutions using products from various manufacturers such as Huawei, Fortigate, Mikrotik, Unifi, PaloAlto, Lenovo, Cisco, Dell, Supermicro, HPE, etc. 
• Contribute expertise in system architecture and network design. 
• Execute tasks while considering the customer SLA. 
• Respond to incidents inside and outside of working hours according to availability schedule (on-call rotation), keeping in mind SLO/SLA policies. 
• Address challenges in close cooperation with technical consultants from service/equipment manufacturers (presales, support, etc.). 
• Implement security policies and access control at every step of the solution implementation process. 
• Ensure customer satisfaction from a technical standpoint.

Technical skills

• Installation of network devices, routers, switches, storage, servers. 
• Precise documentation and creation of technical solutions and analysis of existing systems. 
• Detailed planning of migrations of entire systems from one physical location to another (neatness in cabling, hierarchy of components in network cabinets). 
• Keeping up with market and technology developments, selecting components according to customer requirements. 
• Experience in network technologies (at least one of the following): Huawei / Cisco / Mikrotik / Unifi / Fortigate / Palo Alto. 
• Types of optical connections, configuration, and application. 
• LAN/SAN in data centers. 
• Possession of certificates in any of the areas mentioned above is a big plus. 
• Experience in scripting and automation is a plus. 
• Affinity for hardware (server/storage) and ability to collaborate with technical equipment sellers on the selection and procurement of hardware.
