Job description:
As a CRATIS Platform team engineer you will design, implement and maintain core virtualization infrastructure for both CRATIS Cloud and co-managed customer clouds all located in CRATIS datacentres.
Typical project consists of designing the architecture, selecting and purchasing server and/or storage hardware, hardware configuration, virtualization environment setup, and backup and monitoring configuration. We are continuously investing time in adopting new technologies which would simplify and automate our work to give us more time to research, imagine, (re)design and improve our environments and services. Our goal is to provide top level service with highest availability and uncompromising data security.
The position includes these job responsibilities:
- To design and oversee an organization’s Cloud computing strategy
- To deliver customized cloud virtualization solutions from different vendors including VMware, Veeam, IBM, Huawei, Lenovo, Cisco, Dell, Supermicro, HPE, Brocade etc.
- Provide subject matter expertise in architecture, system and networking design
- To perform tasks necessary to fulfil client service level agreements for application and accessibility availability
- Incident response handling, on-call rotation implementing SLO/SLA policies
- To work closely with vendor technical consultants and sales support to resolve challenges
- To implement security policies and to secure method access
- To manage customer account satisfaction from a technical standpoint

Technical skills
- Experience with system administration (at least one of the following): VMware ecosystem (vSphere, vCD, NSX, …) and/or Veeam backup and/or Storage systems and/or Datacentre networking and SAN fabric
- Being certified in any of the areas above is a huge bonus
- Experience with scripting and automation is a bonus
- Affinity for server/storage hardware (being able to work with hardware vendor on new hardware configuration and purchase)
